The Taboo of Currency in Our Modern World: Reclaiming the Sacred Prostitute Within Your Creative Life
Workshop Three ~ May 18th 2025
The Taboo of Currency in Our Modern World: Embodying Your Sacred Prostitute Archetype
Workshop Three ~ May 18th 2025 ~ At 3pm UK Time (Online. Details of how to attend to come X)
We live in a world that exalts creativity while quietly punishing those who dare to be paid for it.
A world where creativity is what we turn towards for entertainment, nourishment, inspiration, connection, to be moved, to create dialogue, to show beauty, and to give us hope (remember how richly creative the internet was during covid anyone?!) And yet, to be taken seriously as a creative being; to be rewarded in monetary ways, seems to be something laughable at, or diminished, in ways that seem unfathomable.
Writers are often expected to bleed on the page, to bare their souls, to gift their genius, and then apologise for wanting to eat off that work. We’re taught that real art must be selfless, unsullied by money. That asking for compensation dilutes the muse and taints the work. That purity is in poverty. That devotion is in unpaid labour
But, and this is where I am so passionate, what if that’s the biggest lie of all?
What if the most radical thing you could do as a writer, artist, creative entrepreneur, is to let your creative work be erotic, embodied, and economically empowered?
What if charging for your truth is not a betrayal, but a blessing?
This is where the Sacred Prostitute Archetype shows up. By tapping into her power, as a reverent force for being paid for our voice, our services, and our devotion to our work.
She is the holy whore. The erotic mystic. The temple priestess. The one who knows that expression is offering. Presence is power. And currency is a sacred exchange.
To embody her as a writer is to unhook from shame around worth.
To stop apologising for your voice. Your expression. Your soul’s soothsaying stories.
To stop shrinking your prices, diluting your voice, or hiding your brilliance behind free content and performative humility.
To write what’s raw, taboo, alive, and to say, this has value. To let your art be turned on and trusted enough to be paid.
To charge for your workshops, your sessions, your books, your truth, and let that be devotional.
Because here’s the deeper truth:
Your creative work is a sacred transaction between soul and world.
When you write, you touch the unseen. When you share, you open portals.
When you allow yourself to receive, you complete the energetic circle.
Money becomes a mirror. A lover. A reflection of your willingness to be witnessed, wanted, and well-compensated.
~~
In Writing the Revolution, this is core medicine.
Each month, we enter a different portal into radical creative embodiment. We write from the places we were taught to silence; desire, the ‘not beautiful’, eros, rage, shadow, the ugly and unreasonable, the sass and the sauce. We let the page hold what the world has made taboo.
This month, we’re opening the currency portal.
This is what we will be exploring in our next Writing Workshop on May 18th ~ The Taboo of Currency in Our Modern World: Embodying Your Sacred Prostitute Archetype.
This isn’t just a writing workshop.
It’s a space where writing becomes ritual, rebellion, and return.
A space where your creative life gets to be holy, hot, and abundantly supported.
Where we write through shame. Through desire. Through the stories we’ve swallowed about worth, taboo, and permission.
It’s not just craft, it’s liberation.
Join us. Come write from your Sacred Prostitute.
Come reclaim the sensual, sovereign value of your voice.
Come and unshame money.
Unhook from the binary of art vs. commerce.
Reclaim the Sacred Prostitute as a muse, mentor, and mirror.
Because when you begin to see your creativity as currency ~ not just metaphorically, but viscerally ~ something shifts. You stop writing for free in every sense of the word. You stop waiting to be chosen. You stop starving for scraps of validation.
You become a sovereign vessel for creative, erotic, and economic flow.
This exploration frees creatives to:
Charge for their work without guilt or apology
Write what they actually want ~ not what’s palatable, nice, strategically viable or marketable
Receive abundance as a devotional act of appreciation and respect
Release ancestral and societal shame around worth and sensuality
Anchor into a deeper rhythm of giving, receiving, and thriving ~ the true ebb and flow of currency
Because your art is not separate from your body.
Your truth is not separate from your value.
Your desire to be seen, paid, and praised is not shameful, it’s holy, it’s hot, and it’s your goddamn fuckin right.
In this month’s Writing the Revolution Writing Workshop, we write from the Sacred Prostitute archetype. We invite her into the room. We let her speak through us. We let her bless the words, the price tags, the Stripe buttons, the sacredness of being well-compensated for our creative fire.
You don’t have to martyr your voice to prove your worth.
You don’t have to be broke to be authentic.
You don’t have to apologise for thriving.
You get to be turned on by your own power.
You get to write from your body.
You get to be paid in devotion, in desire, and in cash.
Join us.
Write your revolution.
Write your worth.
Write your way back to sacred, sensual, unapologetic value.
You ready to invest darling?
